A: Ideally 2-3 times a week and usually each session lasts about 45 minutes.

Q: Are disposable needles used for acupuncture treatment?

Your First Visit

acupuncture dublin columbus ohio Treatment Length: The first visit lasts about an hour including consultation, exam and treatment.

Requirement: Loose, comfortable clothing. Avoid eating too little or too much before the treatment.

Is Acupunture Painful? Patients are usually relieved after seeing the actual needles. The disposable needles are the size of a human hair, and when inserted, may feel like a mosquito bite or nothing at all depending on your body’s sensitivity and where the needle is placed.

Feeling Nervous? People think the first visit at a Oriental doctor’s office is stressful because of the unknowns, but please relax. At my office, you’ll experience a gentle atmosphere throughout the whole process. I will explain to you each step so you will always be prepared. During the 35-40 minutes while the needles are in, patients listen to the relaxation music playing in my office and often fall asleep. The process is very peaceful and soothing.
