Your First Visit

How Long: The first visit lasts about an hour including consultation, exam and treatment.

Requirement: Loose, comfortable clothing. Avoid starving or eating too much before the treatment.

Is Acupunture Painful? After seeing the needles, patients usually are relieved. The needles (disposable) are the size of a human hair, and when inserted, may feel something like a mosquito bite or nothing at all depending on your body’s sensitivity and where the needle goes in.

Feeling Nervous? People think the first visit in an Oriental doctor’s office is stressful because of the unknowns, but relax. In Lily Yu’s office, you’ll experience a gentle atmosphere throughout the whole process. She will explain to you each step ahead so you are prepared. During the 35-40 minutes while the needles are in, people usually either listen to the relaxation music, or fall asleep. The process is very peaceful and soothing.
